Recently Clearview Vinyl Windows went to work in the town of Hamilton, NY, home of one of the nation’s top 10 liberal arts colleges and named after a founding father of the United States, Alexander Hamilton.

Trapezoid and Double Hung windows

For this project our customer’s goal was to improve the space inside to allow furniture to fit along the wall without blocking windows. As you can see from the before photo, the original windows extended to the corner of the home and the lower awning windows were located low on the wall. We removed all the existing windows installations and closed the awning on the bottom and right to narrow and shorten the space for the new windows. We matched the original style and color of the exterior wall panels and installed new custom framing around both the upper trapezoid windows and two new side-by-side double hung windows below.

Although the custom-made upper windows do not open the lower double hung windows do open and allow both sashes or panels to move up and down and tilt inwards for easy cleaning.

Our client was very happy with the results and can now enjoy the outdoor summer breezes in the comfort of their home.
