Clearview Vinyl Window Warranty

Clearview Vinyl Windows warrants you, the original purchaser of the Clearview Vinyl Rigid Vinyl Replacement Window that:

• BASIC WINDOW UNIT

  The rigid vinyl in the window is warranted against chipping,cracking, peeling, pitting, or blistering for as long as you own and reside in the house in which these windows were installed. This Limited Warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, improper maintenance, fire, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or other external forces.
  NO WARRANTY ON BROWN WINDOWS.

• INSULATED GLASS UNIT

  Insulated glass manufactured by Clearview Vinyl Windows and installed in its products will be free of material obstruction of vision resulting from film, dust, or moisture collection between the interior glass surface of the insulated unit for a period of 20 years from the date of manufacture of the unit. The year of manufacture is dated on the metal spacer between the glass. Clearview Vinyl¹s obligation for replacement of glass under the Limited Warranty contained in this paragraph shall be as follows:

  1st year through 10th year following date of sale Clearview Vinyl Windows shall furnish unit of insulated glass at no charge. Should the glass fail after year 10, as a result of defects
  described above, then Clearview Vinyl Windows will provide the replacement unit of glass at a prorated cost of current list price according to the following formula:
  11th year following date of sale – 50%
  12th year following date of sale – 55%
  13th year following date of sale – 60%
  14th year following date of sale – 65%
  15th year following date of sale – 70%
  16th year following date of sale – 75%
  17th year following date of sale – 80%
  18th year following date of sale – 85%
  19th year following date of sale – 90%
  20th year following date of sale – 95%
  Condensation on any window surface does not indicate a defective window nor a faulty installation, but its the natural result of excessive moisture in the home and changes in temperature & humidity.

• MOVING PARTS

  Moving parts. such as balances and locking mechanisms are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of installation. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, improper maintenance, fire, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism or external forces.

• FIBERGLASS SCREENS

  The materials used in manufacturing screens are warranted for as long as you own and reside in your home. This warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, improper maintenance, fire, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism or external forces. This Warranty shall be limited to providing you with new screen material and/or frames or spline for any manufacturing defect in the screen.
  CLEARVIEW VINYL WINDOWS agrees to repair or replace at the factory, free of charge, any returned product that is found to be defective according to the terms and conditions described in the limited lifetime warranty.
  CLEARVIEW VINYL WINDOWS DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF LABOR TO REMOVE OR INSTALL REPLACEMENT UNITS OR PARTS. SERVICE CALLS TO THE HOME ARE MADE AT THE PREVAILING RATE.

  On some installations, caulking is used to seal the window frames or trim package against water or air penetration. Caulking is normally considered a maintenance responsibility of the homeowner.

  THE PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING PERFORMANCE OF THE WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS IS SIMPLE.

  If you feel that your window is defective, contact the contractor who installed it for inspection. If the contractor or party performing the inspection believes part to be defective, the part should be taken or sent, postage prepaid, to the address below along with proof of the date of installation. Our factory inspection will then determine if the part complies with this Limited Warranty. If we determine that any defective part or parts comply with this Limited Warranty, we will replace the part with a new part according to the warranty, to the purchaser within sixty (60) days of its receipt, FREIGHT COLLECT. The manufacturer will have no liability beyond repair or replacement and expressly will have no liability for any loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use, personal injury, property damage, or any other incidental or consequential damage. This Warranty is the only one which the manufacturer makes, and is expressly in lieu of any other expressed or implied Warranty, including those of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and the provisions of this written agreement from the manufacturer. No representative has any power or authority to make any alterations to this Warranty, or any promise or representations other than those contained in this Warranty, and further, this Warranty contains the entire agreement between the parties. Some states do not allow limitations on how long and implied Warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so that the above limitation may not apply to you. This Lifetime Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This Lifetime Limited Warranty shall not be effective unless you complete and return the attached registration Certificate within 30 days of installation. The registration certificate must be signed by the original Purchaser-Property Owner and the Dealer and mailed to Clearview Vinyl Windows within 30 days of the completed installation.
